This event exemplifies Mudanjiang’s dynamic implementation of the 20th Party Congress spirit, marking a strong and steady start to the city’s new journey. Hosting events to rejuvenate the city—over recent years, Mudanjiang has vigorously developed sports initiatives. With its rich urban heritage, stunning natural environment, and thoughtful event organization, the city has successfully held numerous large-scale, high-level, and influential sports events, achieving significant progress in both mass and competitive sports. Run a Passionate Marathon, Admire the Scenic Beauty of Jingpohu

In summer, Jingpohu Lake is adorned with lush greenery along its shores, and boats glide joyfully across its waves. The race is set along the lakeside in Mudanjiang, allowing participants and spectators to immerse themselves in the breathtaking scenery of "vibrant mountains and crystal-clear streams." Majestic and enchanting, Jingpohu Lake shines like a radiant pearl on China’s northern frontier, captivating the world with its unparalleled charm.

Jingpohu, located 80 kilometers from Mudanjiang City, is the world's largest volcanic barrier lake formed by lava blocking the ancient Mudanjiang River channel after five volcanic eruptions 5,000 years ago. The scenic area spans a total planned area of 1,726 square kilometers and consists of three main sections: the Hundred-Mile Long Lake Scenic Area, the Volcanic Crater Primeval Forest Scenic Area, and the Ruins of Shangjing Longquanfu of the Bohai Kingdom Scenic Area. The area is renowned for its stunning lake and mountain scenery, complemented by geological wonders such as underground primeval forests in volcanic craters and underground lava tunnels, as well as historical and cultural sites like the ruins of the Tang Dynasty-era Bohai Kingdom. It serves as a comprehensive destination for scientific research, summer retreats, sightseeing, vacations, and cultural exchanges. Jingpohu Lake was among the first batch of national key scenic spots approved by the State Council in 1982. It was rated as a National 5A Tourist Attraction by the China National Tourism Administration in 2010 and designated as a UNESCO Global Geopark in 2006. In 2008, it was honored as one of China's Top Ten Leisure Tourism Destinations by the International Leisure Association, the United Nations International Ecological Safety Cooperation Organization, and the China International Famous Brand Association. In recent years, the scenic area has welcomed an average of 800,000 domestic and international visitors annually. Jingpohu Lake has become a popular tourist destination in Northeast China, serving as a flagship attraction in Heilongjiang Province and a key hospitality base.

For years, the Jingpohu Lake Scenic Area has been committed to building a unique brand and tourism products. This marathon's return to Mudanjiang's Jingpohu Lake through hosting high-quality sports events is believed to engage more people in fitness activities, sharing the joy of sports tourism and leisure sports, encouraging broader public participation in sports. It aims to transform the study, promotion, and implementation of the Party's 20th National Congress spirit into a heightened consciousness of continuous learning and skill enhancement, achieving the goal of promoting learning through competition and action through learning, contributing the "Snow City" strength to building a sports powerhouse.
