Jingpohu UNESCO Global Geopark is located in Ning'an City, Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province, China, and is under the jurisdiction of the Mudanjiang Municipal Government. Mudanjiang City boasts well-developed railway, highway, and waterway transportation, providing convenient access to both domestic and international destinations. The park is 110 km from Mudanjiang City and is connected by a highway. The park's geographical coordinates are: 128°30′00″-129°11′00″ E, 43°43′34″-44°17′55″ N, with a total area of 1400 km². In 2006, it was approved by UNESCO to become the Jingpo Lake UNESCO World Geopark. Jingpo Lake World Geopark is a large-scale world-class geopark primarily featuring volcanic geological landforms and water landscapes, integrated with natural landscapes such as forests and wetlands, as well as cultural landscapes including historical sites. Its main functions are to protect geological relics, protect the natural environment, popularize earth science knowledge, promote public scientific literacy, develop tourism activities, and promote the sustainable economic and social development of the local area.
