The summer scenery of jingpo Lake not only includes the clear lake surface, majestic waterfalls and shocking diving, but also the unique style of wetlands, mandarin duck ponds, and villa piers. They complement the underground forest of the crater, either clear and moving, or filled with fireworks. Together they form a panoramic picture of jingpo Lake in summer, and every place hides unexpected beauty.

Shanzhuang Pier: a fireworks station amidst lakes and mountains
Shanzhuang Pier is the core tourist hub of jingpo Lake. It is located in the hinterland of the lake area, surrounded by mountains and rivers. It has both natural beauty and cultural atmosphere. It is a must-visit place when visiting the lake in summer. Weeping willows line the shore of the pier, contrasting with the clear lake and rolling green mountains. In midsummer, the lake breeze blows on your face, refreshing and pleasant. The average temperature is 20°C, making this a natural summer haven. Here, you can take a cruise ship through the Baili Long Lake, enjoy the lake scenery such as Dagushan Mountain and Xiaogushan Mountain, and taste the freshly fried lake fish; in the evening, the Wa Nationality Fire Feast, Iron Flower Performance and Music Ceremony will be staged at the dock square. There is also a Bohai Market for sightseeing. The smell of fireworks blends with the scenery of the lake and mountains, allowing every visitor to immerse themselves in the excitement and comfort of jingpo Lake in summer.

jingpo Lake Wetland: an ecological oasis gifted by the volcano
jingpo Lake Wetland, with Ziling Lake as its core, is located five kilometers upstream of jingpo Lake, between Diaoshuilou Waterfall and the crater underground forest. It is a basalt platform lake formed by the cooling of magma and accumulated water after a volcanic eruption thousands of years ago. It is also the largest existing well-preserved volcanic rock wetland lake in China, with a lake area of 530,000 square meters. In midsummer, the wetland is enveloped in rich green, with swaying reeds, purple water chestnuts, and water lilies dotted throughout. The clear lake water reflects the blue sky, white clouds, and trees on the shore, forming a quiet and elegant ecological picture. This is a paradise for birds. Wild ducks, egrets, mandarin ducks and other water birds live and breed here. Walking on the winding wooden plank road, you can listen to the chirping of rare birds, breathe in the fresh air rich in negative oxygen ions, feel the harmonious symbiosis of nature and life, and get rid of the heat and impetuousness of midsummer.

Yuanyang Pond: the romantic secret of a pocket barrier lake
Yuanyang Pond is hidden in the Crater National Forest Park. It is a pocket barrier lake formed by a mountain stream blocked by volcanic lava. The pool area is only 0.1 square kilometers and the depth is about 1 meter. It is small and exquisite but full of charm. Because the two exposed basalt rocks in the pool resemble mandarin ducks playing in the water, and mandarin ducks and wild ducks live here all year round, and pairs of butterflies stop by the pool in summer, it is named Yuanyang Pool. In the Yuanyang Pond in midsummer, the water is crystal clear, the shore is lush with vegetation, the green mountains are reflected in the pond, and the blue waves are rippling, showing tranquility and romance. This place is far away from the hustle and bustle, with the breeze blowing on your face and the cool water in the pool. It is not only a secret place to escape the summer heat, but also an excellent place for couples to enjoy the scenery and make wishes. It hides the gentlest poetry of jingpo Lake.
