A perfect finale at the Mirror Lake National Scenic Area

On October 22, the 2023 U-series China Youth Roller Skating Tour (Jingpohu Lake Station) was held at Jingpohu Lake National Scenic Area. This event, specifically targeting young roller skating enthusiasts, marked another competition hosted by the scenic area following the 2023 China Roller Skating Marathon Open (Jingpohu Lake Station) on September 10.

By the shores of Jingpohu Lake in late autumn, the scenery was vibrant with colors, the water pristine, and the sky blue. At 8:00 a.m., over 200 young roller skaters from across the nation engaged in fierce competition during the speed roller skating time trials at the Jingpohu Lake Sports and Culture Center.

Li Dongjun, Director of the Heilongjiang Jingpohu Lake Management Committee, delivered a speech at the event. He highlighted that Jingpohu Lake boasts abundant natural resources and profound cultural heritage, making it a comprehensive tourist destination that integrates nature, history, culture, and folklore. The tour serves as both a test of physical fitness and spirit for young roller skating enthusiasts and a challenge to their overall qualities, including athletic ability, competitive level, and mental resilience. He expressed hopes that the event would further promote the popularity of youth roller skating and cultural exchanges in China, while advancing public fitness initiatives and enriching cultural life in the city. By fostering the spirit of sportsmanship as a driving force in daily life, the event aims to contribute to the city’s economic development and gather momentum for the comprehensive revitalization of Mudanjiang.

Since its successful designation as a "National Sports Tourism Demonstration Base" in 2022, Jingpohu Lake Scenic Area has hosted a series of events, including the "2023 China Jingpohu Lake Half Marathon, Run for Youth Fitness Campaign, and Youth Motorboat Training Camp," "Opening Ceremony of the 4th Heilongjiang Provincial Mass Fitness Games and Competitions in Basketball, Air Volleyball, Go, Chinese Chess, and International Chess," and the "2023 China Roller Skating Marathon Open (Jingpohu Lake Station) and Jingpohu Lake Public Roller Skating Festival." It has become the base with the most organized sports events nationwide. The 2023 U-series China Youth Roller Skating Tour (Jingpohu Lake Station) is another national-level sports event jointly organized by the National Sports Administration's Social Sports Guidance Center, under the guidance of the China Roller Skating Association and the Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Bureau, and co-hosted by the Heilongjiang Jingpohu Lake Management Committee and the Mudanjiang Municipal Sports Bureau. The main competitions included speed roller skating time trials for male and female participants across various age groups, ranging from 200 to 1000 meters.
