* Diaoshuilou Waterfall *

The Diaoshuilou Waterfall is the most famous natural landscape of Jingpo Lake, the world's largest lava gas cave collapse-type waterfall, plunging down the cliffs into the Black Dragon Pool.

China's First Waterfall Monument, originally built in 1924, was reconstructed in the 1980s. The original monument was inscribed and erected in 1924 (the 13th year of the Republic of China) by Wang Shixuan, the county magistrate of Ning'an, during his visit to Jingpo Lake Waterfall. The current whereabouts of the original monument remain unknown.

The Diaoshuilou Waterfall at Jingpo Lake is the world's largest basalt waterfall. Though the water flow is low this year, it still looks quite spectacular.

At 10 AM and 2 PM daily, there is a waterfall diving performance by Di Huanran, recognized by Guinness World Records as the "World's First Cliff Diver," which takes place year-round regardless of the season.

* Jingpo Lake Lava Cave *

Lava tubes, also known as underground lava caves or lava rivers, are located west of Ning'an City and approximately 30 kilometers northwest of Jingpo Lake. Over ten thousand years ago, the eruption of the Jingpo volcanic cluster caused magma to overflow and flow southeastward along valleys. The outer layer cooled and solidified into a hard crust, while the inner molten lava continued to flow beneath. Once the magma drained completely, it formed these underground lava caves.

The Jingpo Lake Scenic Area was formed from the Jingpo Lake volcanic group, which erupted a million years ago and underwent several major volcanic activities, creating a basalt plateau over a hundred miles long.

The fish in Jingpo Lake are considered top-grade for their "Three Flowers and Five Luos" ("Three Flowers" being mandarin fish, crucian carp, and bream, and "Five Luos" being taimen, faluo, yaluo, huluo, and tongluo). Additionally, the lake is abundant in over 40 types of fish, including crucian carp, carp, redtail, huanggu, snakehead, silver carp, red flower fish, whitefish, catfish, bighead carp, and cucumber fish. Among them, the most productive are bighead carp, silver carp, lake carp, and redtail fish.
