On September 10, the 2023 China Roller Skating Marathon Open (Jingpo Lake Station) kicked off at the Jingpo Lake scenic area.

As the starting gun fired, professional roller skaters and enthusiasts from across the country, riding their "wind-fire wheels," shot like arrows onto the track (half course) of Jingpo Lake National Scenic Area, racing along the most beautiful green ecological landscape avenue in the scenic zone.

The 2023 China Roller Skating Marathon Open (Jingpo Lake Station) was co-hosted by the China Roller Skating Association and the People's Government of Mudanjiang City, guided by the Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Bureau, and organized by the Jingpo Lake Management Committee and the Mudanjiang Municipal Sports Bureau. As one of the stops in the 2023 National Roller Skating Marathon Open (totaling three stations), the event attracted nearly 1,000 athletes from across the country.

In recent years, to promote the innovation of sports in Mudanjiang and the development of cultural tourism and sports industries in Jingpo Lake, the scenic area has leveraged its resource advantages to actively explore the integrated development of culture, tourism, and sports. It has worked to create a platform environment for outdoor fitness activities and hosting various sports events, successfully organizing multiple provincial and national-level large-scale sports competitions. Centered on the theme of "Cool Summer, Icy Winter," it has hosted events such as international marathons, wetland half-marathons, and ice marathons. In 2022, Mudanjiang was approved as the only "National Sports Tourism Demonstration Base" in Heilongjiang Province.
