According to the report (by reporter Zhang Xuedi), on January 7, the 2024 China Jingpohu Lake Ice Dragon Boat Challenge and the 2024 Ice Dragon Boat Super League (Jingpohu Lake Station) kicked off at the Jingpohu Lake Scenic Area, with nearly 300 participants from 14 teams across the country, including Guangdong and Liaoning.
At the referee's signal, the dragon boats shot from the starting line like arrows from a bow. Amid the exhilarating beat of drums, hundreds of oars moved in unison as the athletes braved the bitter cold, embracing the thrill of speed. Xu Rihui, a competitor from Guangdong, said, "Racing dragon boats on ice is exhilarating. The 40-degree temperature difference from my hometown was striking, but I absolutely love this snowy wonderland."
