The 28th National Winter Swimming Championships, a two-day event in 2024, recently concluded at Jingpohu Lake National Scenic Area in Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province. Nearly 700 winter swimmers from 31 teams across 18 provinces and cities in China gathered by the beautiful Jingpohu Lake to participate in a competition of courage, challenge, and passion, presenting spectators with a visual and willpower feast of sports.

The National Winter Swimming Championships is the highest-level event in winter swimming competitions, held annually and organized by the Swimming Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and the Chinese Swimming Association. This year marks its first hosting in Heilongjiang Province, undertaken by the People's Government of Mudanjiang City.

Among the many competitors, there were several "Evergreen" swimming teams, with the oldest participant being 70 years old. These seasoned veterans of winter swimming, some of whom have been involved in the sport since their youth, charged ahead fearlessly in Jingpohu's Black Dragon Pool. Their rich experience was on full display as they demonstrated remarkable perseverance and competitive prowess, embodying the sporting spirit of "pushing one's limits" through action. Spectators from home and abroad captured the thrilling moments on camera while exclaiming, "What a sight! Truly enviable!"
