The objective of this meeting is to familiarize with the 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals, clarify the significance of the SDGs for UNESCO Global Geoparks, explore how UNESCO Global Geoparks can contribute to the achievement of the SDGs, and examine why UNESCO Global Geoparks serve as ideal demonstration areas for the implementation of the SDGs.
