To further cultivate new momentum for study tours and expand the cultural tourism market, while enhancing young people's interest and sense of connection to Jingpohu, the Tourism Management Committee of Jingpohu Lake has leveraged high-quality local cultural and tourism resources to meticulously develop a cluster of multi-themed study tour routes. Recently, exciting news arrived—the geological science study route "Exploring Jingpohuhuhu's Geological Wonders: Unveiling Volcanic Formations" has been successfully included in the provincial catalog of premium science study routes. The official announcement of the selected list is pending.
As a UNESCO Global Geopark and a National 5A-level Tourist Attraction, Jingpohu Lake boasts a volcanic lava landform formed over millions of years, profound historical heritage, and rich ecological resources, laying a solid foundation for the development of study travel. The Jingpohu Lake Management Committee has precisely captured market demand by establishing core hubs such as the "Jingpohu Lake Museum Cluster," "Stone Waterfall Park," and "Volcanic Mystery Pavilion." These nodes connect distinctive resources including the Crater Forest, the Ruins of Shangjing Longquanfu of Balhae, and the Jingpohu Lake Red Education Base. Through systematic development, four thematic study travel routes—geological exploration, historical culture, ecological conservation, and red heritage—have been created, forming a comprehensive product system catering to diverse educational needs.
In the field of red heritage and historical-cultural research, the Jingguan Committee integrates resources such as the site of the Japanese puppet power plant, the Anti-Japanese Allied Forces Memorial Park, and the ruins of the Shangjing Longquanfu of the Bohai Kingdom to create themed routes like "Tracing the Origins of Red Momentum" and "Exploring the Glories of the Haidong Prosperous Kingdom." Through on-site explanations and immersive experiences, these programs allow participants to absorb the spirit of revolution and historical depth while on the move. The eco-conservation themed routes focus on resources like the Jingpohu Lake wetlands and the vegetation of the volcanic crater forests, offering activities such as ecological observation and plant identification to promote awareness of environmental protection.
Next, the Jingpohu Lake Management Committee will take the provincial-level recognition of the high-quality route as an opportunity to continuously optimize the supply of study-tour products, upgrade the "museum + scenic area + base" study-tour service system, enrich course content and experiential formats, and strive to build a benchmark study-tour destination in Northeast China. This will ensure the natural beauty and cultural charm of Jingpohu Lake resonate deeply through study-tour experiences.
