The National Defense Education Exhibition Hall of Jingpohu Lake is located on Longtou Mountain at the Villa Pier, covering a construction area of over 180 square meters. It consists of the main exhibition hall, an outdoor equipment display area, and the 7051 Civil Air Defense Project. The exhibition highlights the importance of Mudanjiang's border, China's major anti-aggression wars, the growth of the People's Army, and the historical ties between the development of the four military branches and Mudanjiang. The exhibition hall features seven themed sections: "Strategic Location: Northern Stronghold," "Remembering History, Building a Shared National Dream," "Mission Calls for a Technology-Powered Military," "Iron Great Wall, Safe Land," "Transformation and Breakthrough: Major National Assets," and "Guided by Ideology: Strong Military, My Responsibility," showcasing over 200 exhibits and equipment models. Utilizing text and image displays, video presentations, and physical exhibits, it introduces Mudanjiang and Jingpohu Lake as historically strategic locations, their geographical significance, economic and agricultural development, military struggles, and major contributions to liberating China, as well as the development of the People's Liberation Army and national defense. The outdoor display area lines both sides of a 300-meter-long tourist path with more than 10 full-scale iron models of artillery used by the People's Liberation Army during different historical periods.
