Winter Fishing Challenge Rules

II. Event Time and Location
Competition Date:
Tentatively scheduled to be held on a selected day between January 12 and 16, 2026. The final competition date will be determined by the organizing committee at least 5 days in advance, based on a comprehensive evaluation of safety conditions including weather forecasts from meteorological departments and on-site ice thickness measurements (minimum 40 cm). The official announcement will be made through designated channels such as the official WeChat public account. In case of event postponement or cancellation due to force majeure, the organizing committee will not be responsible for any related expenses incurred by participants.
Competition Venue: Jingpohu Lake Scenic Area (ice thickness no less than 40CM)
Duration of the competition: 2.5 hours
III. Eligibility and Registration
Age requirement: 18-65 years old
Health and Insurance: Participants must purchase personal accident insurance (effective on the day of the competition, otherwise eligibility will be canceled).
Participants must have winter fishing experience and send the completed "Registration Form" along with a copy/photo of their valid ID card to the designated registration email: 2106973533@qq.com by January 7, 2026. The organizing committee will confirm successful registration via email upon approval. The registration deadline is January 8, with a limit of 40 participants. Admission is based on the order of approved registration materials, and registration closes once the quota is filled. For inquiries, please contact the official email. Competition Support: On the day of the event, designated shuttle buses will be arranged for participants between Mudanjiang and Jingpohu Lake (including one working lunch per angler).
IV. Competition Rules
Fishing Gear and Methods: Limited to ice fishing rods (≤2 rods/person), with no more than 2 hooks per rod (barbless hooks). The organizing committee will uniformly provide each participant with 1 portion of bait and 1 fishing rod. Bringing your own bait or using live bait, toxic bait, or sonar fish-finding devices is prohibited.
Valid Fish Species: Amur minnow; dead fish will not be counted toward the score.
Before the competition begins, the organizing committee will conduct a draw to assign fishing spots and designate the location for drilling one ice hole with a diameter not exceeding 30 cm. Participants are not allowed to drill additional holes or enlarge the existing one.
Valid Fish Species: Only Amur minnow. The catch must remain alive during weighing (gill movement required; dead fish will not be counted).
5. Score Calculation and Ranking Determination
Weight ranking: total weight of valid fish caught per unit time (per session) (excluding containers).
Ranking determination rule: Total weight ranking
In case of tied scores: ranking by weight → comparing the largest single tail weight → drawing lots.
VI. Safety and Environmental Protection
Mandatory equipment: The organizing committee provides life jackets, tents, and heating equipment.
Medical support: On-site medical staff and emergency vehicles are available.
Environmental requirements: Take your trash with you and enhance awareness of civilized environmental protection.

8. Violation Handling
Score Invalid: Fish stringing, cheating, use of prohibited bait;
Disqualification: Failure to wear a life jacket, disruption of competition order.
IX. Supplementary Provisions
These regulations are formulated and interpreted by the event organizing committee. Any matters not covered herein shall be notified or supplemented separately by the committee.
