On March 9, the Jingpohu Lake Management Committee held the 2018 annual work conference for the Jingpohu Lake Scenic Area. Attendees included Zhao Shiyuan, Deputy Director of the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee; Du Jijun, Vice Mayor of the Municipal Government; Wang Fenghui, Vice Chairman of the Municipal Political Consultative Conference; Li Dongjun, Mayor of Ning'an City; and Liu Shisen, Director of the Tokyo Forestry Bureau. Representatives from municipal units such as the Tourism Commission, Environmental Protection Bureau, and Water Resources Bureau, as well as provincial and central units stationed at the lake, were also present. Cheng Peng, Deputy Secretary-General of the Municipal Government, presided over the meeting.

At the meeting, Sun Dezhi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Jingpohu Lake Management Committee, and Guo Benzheng, Chairman of the Jingpohu Lake Tourism Group, provided comprehensive summaries of the 2017 work from the perspectives of administrative management and enterprise operations, respectively. They objectively analyzed the current challenges and prominent issues facing the scenic area's development and made detailed arrangements for the main tasks over the next three years and in 2018.

In conclusion, Vice Mayor Du Jijun delivered an important speech. He noted that in 2017, the Jingpohu Lake Scenic Area tackled challenges and forged new paths, ushering in transformative developments. Key economic indicators achieved historic breakthroughs, systemic solutions were implemented to address bottlenecks hindering the scenic area's growth, environmental improvements were made through targeted rectifications, and market development and brand-building saw innovative advancements. Looking at the bigger picture and the future, the effective management and development of Jingpohu Lake hold significant importance. It is essential to deepen reforms, unify efforts, and gather new momentum for the scenic area's progress.

Du Jijun emphasized the need to focus on key priorities and overcome challenges to achieve new milestones in the scenic area's development. Efforts must include: securing the successful re-evaluation of the UNESCO Global Geopark designation; intensifying marketing campaigns to boost Jingpohu's tourism appeal; strengthening conservation and management to create a favorable development environment; and advancing investment promotion. He also stressed the importance of building a solid foundation and enhancing soft power to elevate the Jingpohu Lake brand. This involves upgrading infrastructure and committing to optimal management and services. Additionally, he called for strict adherence to the Party's disciplinary standards to gather positive energy for accelerated development. This includes upholding political integrity (ideological energy), persistently improving work style (action energy), leading by example in team-building (talent energy), and strengthening organizational foundations (organizational energy).
