Embark on a Forest Exploration Study Trip
The Volcanic Crater National Forest Park is located 52 kilometers northwest of the Jingpohu Lake Scenic Area, covering a planned area of 8,965 hectares with a forest coverage rate of over 90%. Known locally as the "underground forest," it serves as a geological core zone integrating volcanic landforms, biodiversity, forest wellness, and picturesque lake-and-mountain scenery. Here, the spectacular scene of volcanic eruptions from tens of thousands of years ago remains frozen in time, a masterpiece of nature that cannot be replicated. As a natural oxygen haven, it stands as one of the key attractions within the Jingpohu Lake Global Geopark, a National 5A-level Scenic Spot, one of China's Top Ten Leisure Tourism Destinations, and a National-level Scenic Area.
The park features 16 craters ranging in diameter from 70 to 550 meters and depths of 30 to 132 meters. It boasts six renowned scenic spots, famously described as "one pool, two cave heavens, one pavilion, and two wonders," along with adventure activities like exploring the Wild Boar Forest. This natural landscape destination offers visitors opportunities for leisure, study, adventure, reconnecting with nature, and spiritual enrichment.
