Since the beginning of the year, based on preliminary planning, the JingpohuLake Management Committee has fully entered a "countdown" state for the "re-evaluation" inspection. A total of 21 progress meetings have been held, covering tasks such as task decomposition, expert guidance, on-site surveys, and collective problem-solving. To leverage expert expertise and learn from the successful experiences of advanced parks, experts like Su Dechen, the chief geological science popularization expert from the Ministry of Natural Resources, and Chen Fang, deputy director of the Danxia Mountain Management Committee and re-evaluation expert, were invited to JingpohuLake for on-site guidance on geological science education, re-evaluation preparations, and problem rectification. Currently, all preparatory work is progressing smoothly: 44 key tasks, including the organization and archiving of AB forms and supporting materials, the development of Xiaozhujia Village community, and the rectification of signage, have been completed. The construction of the "Volcano Exploration Hall" (museum) and internal exhibits is nearing completion, while 12 tasks such as comprehensive environmental improvements along the route and the production of the report video are in full swing and will be completed by the end of July. In mid-June, after communication with the re-evaluation experts, the final assessment period was set for August 6–8. Since mid-July, three simulated assessment routes have been conducted with the expert team, and a reception plan has been formulated.
Next, the JingpohuLake Management Committee will seize the remaining golden time before the re-evaluation to finalize all preparations and ensure all tasks are completed by the end of July. Practical simulated inspections will be organized to identify and address gaps, further refining all preparatory work. Coordination with the UN evaluation experts will be strengthened to meticulously plan expert reception and on-site inspections, ensuring thorough and detailed execution. The construction of the Volcano Exploration Hall and the collection and arrangement of exhibits will be expedited, with integrated testing of the hall's audiovisual systems to guarantee completion and operational readiness by the end of July. On August 2, full operational readiness will commence, and on August 5, the team will travel to Beijing to welcome the UN experts for the evaluation. With strong support from the municipal party committee, government, and relevant departments, the JingpohuLake Management Committee will unite efforts to ensure a smooth re-evaluation process, delivering a satisfactory outcome for China's geological park initiatives, the municipal leadership, and the citizens.
