To advance the functional zoning adjustment of the Jingpohu Lake Nature Reserve, on June 4, the Jingpohu Lake Management Committee organized a work meeting on the matter. Researcher Luo Chunyu from the Provincial Academy of Sciences' Institute of Nature and Ecology was invited to provide a specialized explanation on the functional zoning adjustments and to analyze and address issues encountered during preliminary work. Attendees included Sun Jishun, Deputy Secretary-General of the Municipal Government; Wang Wei, Deputy Director of the Municipal Natural Resources Bureau; and relevant personnel from the Jingpohu Lake Management Committee and Jingpohu Lake Town. The meeting was chaired by Sun Dezhi, Deputy Party Secretary and Director of the Jingpohu Lake Management Committee.

     The functional zoning adjustment of the Jingpohu Lake Nature Reserve aims to clarify the boundaries and areas of various main functional zones within the reserve, thereby advancing subsequent planning and compilation efforts. This initiative will enhance the baseline survey of the nature reserve, strengthen its management, protection, and effective development. Additionally, the adjustment serves as an effective measure to resolve overlapping and conflicting zoning issues between the Jingpohu Lake Nature Reserve and the Xiaobei Lake Provincial Nature Reserve. It holds significant importance for improving regional coordinated management and achieving the integration of multiple regional plans ("multi-plan integration"). Furthermore, it is a crucial step in implementing the rectification of idle assets in the Jingpohu Lake Town project in Mudanjiang, as assigned by the Sixth Central Inspection Team. The successful implementation of the functional zoning adjustment will greatly benefit the "Xiangshui Dual Modernization" project in Ning'an City, the comprehensive renovation of Pubu Village, the revitalization of the South Lake scenic area, and the promotion of local economic development. Since its launch at the beginning of the year, the Jingpohu Lake Management Committee has held multiple internal coordination meetings to discuss the zoning adjustments and has strengthened communication with relevant departments such as the Municipal Natural Resources Bureau, Ning'an City, and the former Donglin Bureau to solicit opinions. Provincial and municipal experts have been invited to conduct field surveys, scientific evaluations, and technical guidance. Currently, preliminary recommendations have been formed and submitted to the municipal government leadership. The Jingpohu Lake Management Committee will soon report to the Provincial Natural Resources Department to strive for substantive progress in the functional zoning adjustment as soon as possible.
