On the morning of December 27, the "2022 Heilongjiang Cold Water Fish·Winter Fishing Season" Winter Fishing Ceremony was successfully held at West Lake Xiu of Jingpohu Lake in Mudanjiang. A total of 20,000 people, including leaders from national, provincial, and Mudanjiang municipal levels, guests from various sectors, and numerous tourists, participated in the event. The opening ceremony showcased ancient and mysterious fishing culture such as lake worship, net awakening, and farewell wine. The spectacular scene of thousands of silver carp and koi leaping out during the winter fishing was once again recreated.

During this winter fishing season, the first net caught 238,000 jin of lake fish. An "Auction of the First Fish" event was also held on-site, where three types of first fish (bighead carp, lake carp, and mandarin fish) were auctioned separately. Among them, the bighead carp, weighing 40 jin, was successfully bid for 1 million yuan by Huizhi Group; the lake carp, weighing 28 jin, was successfully bid for 2 million yuan by Tongwei New Energy Co., Ltd.; and the mandarin fish, weighing 12.8 jin, was successfully bid for 3 million yuan by Huarong Technology Co., Ltd.
