The "2022 China Jingpohu Lake Open Water Swimming Challenge" was grandly held on December 18 at the Jingpohu Lake Scenic Area, which had just been selected as a national sports tourism demonstration base. Vice Mayor Zou Hao attended the event and announced the opening of the competition.

Hosted by the Mudanjiang Municipal People's Government, organized by the Jingpohu Lake Management Committee of Heilongjiang Province and the Mudanjiang Municipal Sports Bureau, and co-organized by the Mudanguotou Jingpohu Lake Tourism Group, the "2022 China Jingpohu Lake Open Water Swimming Challenge" was held at the Heilongtan Pool of Diaoshuilou Waterfall in the Jingpohu Lake Scenic Area. Over 200 participants from 15 teams representing Mudanjiang city proper and six counties including Ning'an, Hailin, and Dongning took part in the competition.

The lake was as smooth as a mirror, with frozen waterfalls hanging over the river. In the cold wind, swimmers cut through the waves, striving to be the first, enlivening the tranquil waters. On the shore, photography enthusiasts and tourists from the Mudanjiang area cheered for the athletes from time to time. At the end of the competition, Zuo Guiqing, Zhang Ping, and Lin Song claimed the top three spots in the men's division, while Xiao Hong, Zhou Ge, and Liu Shuzhi secured the top three positions in the women's division. The team awards went to the Jingpohu Lake team, Dong'an District swimming team, and Xi'an District swimming team, who took the top three places respectively.
