From March 21 to 22, 2023, an inspection team from the Hunan Provincial Liu Shaoqi Hometown Administration Bureau, led by Director Nie Yong, visited our committee for inspection and study. They conducted on-site research to understand the protection, utilization, and management of the Liu Shaoqi memorial facilities at Jingpohu. Jingpohu Lake is one of the member units of the National Liu Shaoqi Memorial Alliance, with its red resources mainly comprising the "Shaoqi Wooden House," Shaoqi Road, Shaoqi Memorial Pavilion, Qijing Stele Garden, Jingpohu Lake Red Memory Museum, and the Weizigou Inspection Site. Li Dongjun, Deputy Secretary of the Jingpohu Lake Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee, met with all members of the inspection team. They held extensive discussions and reached consensus on the study content, future cooperation in exploring red resources, and improving the level of government affairs interpretation.

The inspection team, accompanied by Zhang Haijun, a member of the Party Working Committee of Jingpohu, utilized two days to conduct on-site inspections at the Jingpohu Lake Anti-Japanese Allied Forces Monument Park, memorial sites and facilities related to Liu Shaoqi, and the original power red exhibition hall of the Jingpohu Lake Power Plant. After the inspection, our committee, together with the Mudanjiang State Investment Group, held a discussion with the inspection team, engaging in extensive communication and in-depth exchanges on topics such as the institutional mechanisms of Jingpohu, organizational personnel and publicity education, the protection of red resources, and the development of cultural and creative products.

Comrade Zhang Haijun provided a detailed introduction at the symposium regarding the basic situation of the Jingpohu Lake Scenic Area and the progress of organizational personnel ideological education work. As a national scenic area and a global geopark, Jingpohu Lake has always placed great emphasis on the protection and in-depth exploration of red resources within the region. Efforts include renovating and expanding the Anti-Japanese Allied Forces Monument Park, establishing the new Jingpohu Lake Red Memory Exhibition Hall, integrating the scattered red resources of Jingpohu, regularly maintaining red facilities, and hosting themed commemorative activities. The newly established red memorial sites have been well-received by tourists, especially young students. Comrade Cai Libo from the State Investment Group introduced the research and development of Jingpohu's cultural and creative products and the latest planning for tourism products. Nie Yong, Director of the Liu Shaoqi Hometown Administration Bureau, highly praised Jingpohu's infrastructure and the endowment of red resources in his speech, fully affirming the substantial work done by the Jingpohu Lake Management Committee in the protection and utilization of red resources related to Chairman Liu Shaoqi. He mentioned that this year marks the 125th anniversary of Chairman Liu Shaoqi's birth. The Liu Shaoqi Thought and Life Research Branch of the Chinese Communist Party Literature Research Association and the Liu Shaoqi Hometown Administration Bureau will jointly organize a series of commemorative activities, including retracing the path of the great man, promoting the spirit of investigation and research, with the visit to Jingpohu Lake being one of the key components.

At the symposium, both parties further agreed to proactively leverage the leading role of the National Liu Shaoqi Memorial Sites Alliance platform in future work. They will capitalize on the advantages of Liu Shaoqi's hometown in terms of management, resources, and talent, sharing red resources, mutually promoting red brands, jointly organizing commemorative events, and exchanging docents for learning and training.
