"Million Mutual Tour" Mudanjiang·Dongguan Collaboration, Jointly Depicting a New Chapter of High-Quality Development in Cultural Tourism for Both Cities—2023 "Beauty in Mudanjiang" Cultural Tourism Promotion and Investment Promotion Conference Held in Dongguan

On April 3, the 2023 "Beauty in Mudanjiang" cultural tourism promotion and investment promotion conference was held in Dongguan, Guangdong Province. This event highlighted the beautiful scenery of Mudanjiang, its new summer tourism products, and relevant tourism policies to the many invited travel agencies and tourism enterprises, aiming to jointly promote the prosperous development of the tourism industry in both cities.

Deputy Mayor of Mudanjiang Municipal Government Zou Hao, Second-level Researcher of Dongguan Municipal People's Government Office Huang Fuquan, and Deputy Director of Dongguan Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism, and Sports Yin Zhuhua attended the promotion event.

The modern Peking Opera "Taking Tiger Mountain by Strategy," with its distinctive Mudanjiang local cultural flavor, opened the promotion event with the selected excerpt "Welcoming Spring to Transform the World." Combined with the stunning scenery displayed on the background screen, the attendees were filled with longing for Mudanjiang's lakes, mountains, and forests.

In his speech, Zou Hao, Vice Mayor of Mudanjiang Municipal Government, stated that although Dongguan and Mudanjiang are located in the south and north of China, respectively, they have long maintained a close partnership with a solid foundation for cooperation in various fields such as industrial development, talent exchange, and tourism interaction. The two cities exhibit strong complementarity in culture, tourism, and industry, offering vast prospects for collaboration. He expressed hope that this investment promotion event would build a bridge of cooperation between the two cities, facilitating resource sharing, complementary advantages, market synergy, and mutual tourist exchanges, and jointly writing a new chapter in the tourism development of both cities.

E Yanjuan, Director of the Mudanjiang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism, introduced Mudanjiang's summer tourism products and cultural tourism investment opportunities. She highlighted that Mudanjiang boasts abundant scenic resources, distinctive tourism features, a long history, and significant geographical advantages. It is a city with immense development potential and prospects, rich in cultural heritage and vibrant openness. Visiting Mudanjiang promises...With the allure of "admiring" the breathtaking scenery of Jingpohu, "exploring" the vast snowfields of the forested sea, "delighting" in the wonders of ice and snow, "savoring" diverse cultures, "tracing" heroic legacies, and "discovering" brand-new experiences, we warmly invite friends from Dongguan to visit Mudanjiang for tourism and investment opportunities.

Mudanjiang is China's top city for economic and trade cooperation with Russia, known as the "China-Russia Regional Friendly Cooperation Demonstration City." As a key node and hub in the Northeast Asian economic circle, Mudanjiang boasts exceptionally rich tourism resources, earning it the titles "Jiangnan Beyond the Great Wall" and "China's Snow City." It features enchanting lakes and mountains, vast forests with ever-changing scenery, Sino-Russian border towns brimming with exotic charm, mysterious and diverse ethnic cultures, rare and unique wildlife, and a glorious red heritage...

Today, Mudanjiang's tourism infrastructure has become increasingly well-developed. This year, leveraging its resource advantages, the city has meticulously designed and launched a series of themed products, including "Poetic Countryside in Full Bloom," "Cool Summer Retreats in the Waves of Forests," "Colorful Autumn," and "Dreamy Winter Wonderland." It has also introduced five premium themed routes, such as "Lakes and Mountains," "Historical and Cultural Heritage," "Century-Old Towns and Snowy Forests," "Eco-Wellness and Water Recreation," and "Ethnic Customs and Snow City Impressions." Efforts are being made to transform resource advantages into industrial momentum, promoting the integration and upgrading of the "tourism plus" industry across the region, offering visitors entirely new tourism experiences and products.

The openness and inclusiveness of Mudanjiang, a border city in northern China, along with its pristine green mountains and clear waters, will serve as a solid foundation and favorable conditions for tourism collaboration with Dongguan. Through this promotion event and further exchanges with Dongguan's travel agencies and tourism enterprises, both sides will engage in in-depth cooperation in areas such as health and wellness tourism, rural tourism, creative industries in new media, and study tours. They will establish a long-term cooperation mechanism between travel agencies from both regions, jointly develop premium travel routes, and further enhance exchanges and interactions to foster mutual development.

Following the promotion event, Mudanjiang and Dongguan also signed agreements for investment projects and a mutual tourist exchange program between travel agencies. Six investment projects were signed, with a total planned investment of 580 million yuan. Representatives from the travel agency associations and tourism associations of both cities signed the "One Million Mutual Tourist Exchange" agreement, aiming to facilitate mutual tourist visits totaling one million in the future.

At the promotion event, an exhibition area was set up featuring intangible cultural heritage creative products and Mudanjiang's distinctive cultural tourism offerings. Local specialties and delicacies such as Manchu embroidery, silkworm-wing embroidery, bronze carvings, honey, sea buckthorn, wood ear mushrooms, and lion's mane mushrooms were all showcased, further enhancing the visibility of the city's unique local brands. Moving forward, the Mudanjiang Cultural and Tourism Bureau will extend its promotional efforts to key tourist source cities including Guangzhou, Chongqing, Wuhan, Nanjing, and Hefei.
