






The early summer is beautiful with soothing greenery. In May, the sunny Jingpo Lake is adorned with lush plants and fragrant flowers, while the vast lake shimmers with blue waves. The stunning scenery of the lake and mountains attracts tourists from all over the country to enjoy its enchanting views. During the May Day holiday, Jingpo Lake Scenic Area welcomed the first wave of visitors in the transition from spring to early summer, receiving a total of over 110,000 tourists (31,400 in the main scenic area, marking a 43% year-on-year increase). On the second day of the holiday, visitor numbers surged by 229% compared to the previous year, reaching the peak since the lake opened this year. Tourists came not only from neighboring provinces like Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning but also from distant regions such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Hebei, and Shandong.

The thrilling hydrophilic experience "Jingpo Lake Waterfall Drift" attracted numerous tourists; the waterfall theatrical performance "Bohai Love," based on the love story of Princess Hongluo and the Prince of Bohai, offered visitors a spectacular visual feast. Additionally, cultural activities such as the Fisherman's Blessing Ceremony + Lake Worship + Net Awakening + Fishing Operation Performance and the "Bohai Rhyme" ancient music performance were full of regional charm and cultural depth, earning widespread praise from tourists. The newly launched "Speedboat Island Tour" also provided visitors with a fresh travel experience.




During this year's May Day holiday, in anticipation of potential increased tourism management pressure at scenic spots, Jingpo Lake Scenic Area conducted advance operational preparations. Led by the Jingpo Lake Management Committee and in collaboration with the Jingpo Lake Public Security Sub-bureau, Jingpo Lake Tourism Group, and other relevant units and departments, safety inspections were carried out in key tourist areas, major business sectors, and important tourism projects before the holiday. Efforts were made to supervise the development of safety emergency plans and reinforce responsibilities to ensure the elimination of safety hazards.
To ensure safe, stable, and orderly tourism during the holiday, the scenic area issued staggered-peak travel and reservation reminders in advance through official channels and various media. It also implemented crowd diversion measures in high-traffic zones, centralized self-service ticketing devices at locations like the visitor center lobby, sightseeing buses, and boats, and displayed online ticketing QR codes. Additionally, discounted bundled tickets for park admission and related products were made available on various OTA platforms to provide convenient and efficient travel services for visitors.
