The National Winter Swimming Championships were recently held in Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang Province, featuring categories such as youth, middle-aged, and senior groups, with 31 teams and nearly 700 athletes from 18 provinces participating.

The water temperature in the competition area was approximately 12°C, feeling quite cold, but the meticulous event services and enthusiastic audience warmed the participants. Cui Wenyun, a resident of Shanghai, competed in the women's middle-aged freestyle category, saying, "The scenery is beautiful, and the support team is very professional, greatly enhancing the competition experience." Qian Fuqi, a 70-year-old from Shulan City, Jilin Province, participated in the exhibition match with several winter swimming enthusiasts, noting, "The 9th Asian Winter Games will be held in Harbin next February, so I wanted to get a feel for the vibrant event atmosphere in advance."

Mudanjiang City is known as the "Snow City" with a long history of winter swimming. This competition is not only a stage for sports but also showcases the local ice and snow culture. Next, Mudanjiang City will also host the 3rd International Winter Swimming Challenge to attract more tourists to participate in winter sports and experience the fun of ice and snow tourism.
