Mao Gong Mountain, located on the eastern side of Laohei Mountain in the northern part of Jingpohu, faces Jingpohu Lake Villa across the lake. With an elevation of 824.4 meters, it is formed by the overlapping of two mountain ranges, resembling the image of Comrade Mao Zedong lying on his back in the "Memorial Hall." The mountain stretches over 4,000 meters, with distinct facial features and well-proportioned body parts. From a distance, Mao Gong Mountain presents thick eyebrows, a broad forehead, and a serene expression; a robust, majestic, and broad-shouldered figure; an elegant, noble, and brilliant demeanor; and a solemn, awe-inspiring, and grand presence. Its magnificent form is both majestic and spectacular. Not only does it leave a profound and mysterious impression on visitors, but it also adds an eternal life-like sculpture to the beautiful landscape.
A man is like a mountain, and a mountain is like a man. Mao Gong Mountain, with its towering and unyielding character, has lain on its back for millennia, enduring the vicissitudes of time, standing majestic and peerless. The personification of nature and the naturalization of personality are most fully displayed here. In people's hearts, Mao Gong Mountain has been endowed with a spirit, an emotion, a reverence, and a faith, becoming a "sacred mountain" that transcends nature, time, and space, rich in meaning.
