The annual conference of UNESCO Global Geoparks in China is the most influential event in the field of geoparks in the country and has been held consecutively for 11 sessions since 2009. This year's conference was jointly organized by the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, the National Geopark Network Center, and the Bazhong Municipal Government, with the Guangwushan-Nuoshuhe Global Geopark serving as the host. The Guangwushan-Nuoshuhe Global Geopark is located in Bazhong, Sichuan, covering an area of 1818 square kilometers and featuring 122 geological heritage sites across six major categories, including five world-class geological relics. In recent years, Bazhong has integrated geopark development with all-for-one tourism and poverty alleviation, promoting the sustainable development of the park.
