The 7th Asia Pacific Geoparks Network Symposium opened at Satun UNESCO Global Geopark in Thailand on September 7. The theme of the conference was "UNESCO Global Geoparks: Building Sustainable Communities." The event was held in a "hybrid format" (both online and offline) over eight days. Management staff from Xiangxi UNESCO Global Geopark participated online.

During the conference, the organizers will host various events such as thematic academic exchanges, poster exhibitions, geological exhibitions, and intangible cultural heritage displays. As a member of the Global Geoparks Network in the Asia-Pacific region, the Xiangxi UNESCO Global Geopark made a remarkable appearance at the poster exhibition, showcasing our region's unique geological, ecological, and cultural resources.
