From September 11 to 15, the 8th Asia-Pacific Geoparks Network Symposium was held in Cao Bang Province, Vietnam. Hosted by the Non Nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark, the conference focused on the theme of "Local Communities and Indigenous Peoples in Geoparks for Sustainable Development," with in-depth discussions on topics such as "Geoparks and Regional Sustainable Development." The Arxan UNESCO Global Geopark was invited to attend the event.

During the symposium, events such as the UNESCO Global Geopark Council meeting, the Global Geopark Expo, and field trips were held, attracting over 800 experts, scholars, and park representatives from 19 countries including China, Malaysia, New Zealand, and South Korea.

During the conference, representatives from the Arxan UNESCO Global Geopark closely focused on the theme of the meeting and engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as sustainable development of geoparks, science education, community activities, and geological disaster prevention. At the geopark exhibition booth, the Arxan delegation promoted the Arxan UNESCO Global Geopark to representatives from various countries and the Vietnamese public, distributing souvenirs and brochures, which received an enthusiastic response from visitors.

Meanwhile, representatives from Arxan Geopark engaged in in-depth discussions with counterparts from other Asia-Pacific geoparks to explore collaboration opportunities. Through these exchanges, Arxan Geopark not only gained insights into advanced practices in geological conservation, tourism development, and community engagement from other parks, but also laid the groundwork for future international cooperation.

During the conference, the UNESCO Global Geoparks Council reviewed and approved the re-evaluation of 10 global geoparks including Arxan. Through this Asia-Pacific Geoparks Network Symposium, Arxan Global Geopark not only showcased its unique geological and cultural charm to the world, but also paved new paths for future international cooperation and exchange.
