To comprehensively enhance the water emergency rescue capabilities of Jingpohu Lake and improve crew emergency response skills, on June 25, 2025, from 09:00 to 10:20, Mudanjiang Jingpohu Lake Sightseeing Boat Tourism Co., Ltd. organized a water search and rescue and fire drill in the area of Jingpohu Lake Villa-Damiao waters. The Jingpohu Lake Management Committee, Jingpohu Lake Maritime Safety Administration, and Jingpohu Lake Boat Dock Service Center attended to observe and provide guidance.

This drill simulated a sudden accident where the tourist boat "Jingke You 4030" collided with "Jingke You 4031" due to a steering gear malfunction, causing a fire in the engine room and one passenger falling overboard. After the incident, the involved vessels immediately reported the emergency and initiated self-rescue measures. The Jingpohu Lake Maritime Safety Administration responded swiftly, dispatching nine vessels, including "Jing You 162," to the scene for rescue operations. Among them, "Jing You 171" was responsible for on-site command and security, "Jing You 162" and three other vessels handled passenger evacuation and water search and rescue, "Jingke You 4077" was tasked with passenger transfer, "Jingke You 4040" with towing the accident vessel, and "Jingke You 4061" along with another vessel carried out firefighting duties.

During the drill, all participating vessels had clear divisions of labor and acted swiftly, successfully completing tasks such as personnel search and rescue, fire extinguishing, and accident vessel transfer. Observing units fully affirmed the drill organization, emergency response, and handling procedures, while also providing improvement suggestions for certain aspects.

This drill effectively tested water emergency rescue capabilities and accumulated valuable experience for enhancing the safety level of Jingpohu Lake waters. Moving forward, regular specialized training and drills will be conducted to improve emergency mechanisms, ensuring the safety of water tourism at Jingpohu Lake and strengthening the water safety defense line.
