On May 16, the Jingpohu Lake Management Committee, in collaboration with the Jingpohu Lake Maritime Department and Mudanjiang Jingpohu Lake Sightseeing Boat Tourism Co., Ltd., conducted a water emergency drill in the Damiao area of Jingpohu. The drill simulated scenarios of "passenger vessel equipment failure + personnel overboard" to practically test the effectiveness of coordinated rescue operations.

During the drill, the captain of the distressed passenger ship promptly reported the emergency and organized self-rescue efforts. The three-party rescue forces quickly assembled, coordinated their tasks, and successfully completed missions such as rescuing individuals overboard and towing the malfunctioning vessel. The entire process was intense yet orderly. This exercise not only tested the scientific validity of the emergency plan and honed the practical capabilities of the rescue team but also refined the water safety emergency management system characterized by "management committee coordination, multi-department collaboration, and enterprise accountability."

In response to issues such as insufficient attention from some personnel revealed during the drill, the Jingpohu Lake Management Committee will strengthen mobilization and education, using these problems as a guide to enhance the effectiveness of future drills. Moving forward, the scenic area will continue to conduct regular emergency drills, optimize plans, identify and mitigate hazards, and intensify safety awareness campaigns. Upholding the principle of "people first, life first," the area will implement rigorous measures to fortify water safety defenses, creating a secure and reassuring tourism environment for visitors while preserving the picturesque beauty of Jingpohu Lake and ensuring pleasant journeys.
