The Xingyi Global Geopark is located in the Xingyi City of the Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in the southwest of Guizhou Province, China. It consists of 17 townships and is praised as "the hometown of the dragon, the kingdom of the mountains, the world of water, and the ocean of flowers". It is the most comprehensive, rich, beautiful, typical, and unique geopark with the best preserved geological relics in the Triassic strata. The total area is 1,456 square kilometers.

The ancient geography is located at the junction of the Nanpanjiang Basin and the Yangtze Platform, with the world-renowned Triassic Xingyi animal group, the Wanfenglin conical peak forest, the Malinghe fault-style canyon, the mud model karst and the Triassic ancient marine platform transformation zone deposition as its main features. At the same time, it contains rich stratigraphic section relics, tectonic relics, faulted valleys, caves, pit caves, karst mountains and other landform relics, as well as waterfalls, underground rivers, karst springs and karst wetlands and other water body geological relics. It is a perfect miniature of the karst in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau.

There are 26 ethnic groups living in the park, with the Bujia culture being the most concentrated. Its eight-tone singing, Le You, high-stage lion dance, and Zha Bai Song Festival are included in the national intangible cultural heritage list, and there is a good cultural ecology. At the same time, Xingyi Geopark is the permanent venue of the International Mountain Tourism Alliance Conference, showing the charm of Xingyi to the world.

On December 13, 2025, the inspection team transferred to Qianxinan Prefecture and came to the Xingyi Asian Dragon World Geopark Museum, and comprehensively grasped the geological heritage and natural cultural resource system of the park. Afterwards, they conducted on-site research on the Wanfenglin Scenic Area, represented by the magnificent cone-shaped karst peak forest, and the Maling River Gorge, which is famous for its crevices and waterfalls, and learned in detail about its experience and practices in ecological protection, science education, community participation and sustainable development of tourism. Based on in-depth inspections and exchanges, Jingpohu Global Geopark and Xingyi Global Geopark have officially become friendly sister parks.
