Taking the highway to Nanhutou, the road climbs from the watersports area at Beihutou up to the eastern ridge. After traveling over ten kilometers, you reach a high point on the mountain ridge. Here, the mountains are towering and the forests dense. Standing atop, you can see the mirror-like surface of Jingpohu Lake to the west, while to the southeast, an endless stretch of verdant mountains presents a spectacular view. In the past, people often ventured into these mountains for hunting or timber, and to pray for safety, they erected a mountain god temple here. Over time, the area became known as Miaoling (Temple Ridge), serving as a crucial passage from Nanhutou to Dongjingcheng, Ning'an, and Mudanjiang, holding significant strategic importance.
