jingpo Canyon is located at the north gate of jingpo Lake and under the Diaoshuilou Waterfall, close to the Crater National Forest Park. It is a barrier canyon created by lava flows from volcanic eruptions thousands of years ago. It has a planned area of more than 44 hectares and a winding river path of more than 3,000 meters long. It has both natural wonders and cultural customs. It is a unique treasure place in the jingpo Lake Global Geopark. This is the location of China's highest latitude glacial mortar group. Glacial mortars of different shapes are embedded in the valley. Some are like funnels and some are like chairs. They are precious witnesses of ancient climate evolution and have both scientific research and ornamental value. Basalt cliffs flank a clear stream. Sometimes the water flows under the rocks and forms an undercurrent, whispering; sometimes it rushes and falls into a waterfall, splashing water like broken jade. It contrasts with the dark rock walls, making the canyon even more majestic and steep. Red cloudy stone beaches are scattered here and there, polished by time and running water, with a warm color and unique texture, becoming a dazzling scenery in the canyon. Deep in the canyon, the Korean folk village is built on the mountain and near the water. The upturned corners of the drum tower reflect the blue waves, the sound of long drums lingers in the valley, and the dancing figures of farm music and dance blend with the mountain scenery. The soft and glutinous cake, the fresh aroma of pickles, and the most simple smell of fireworks make the majestic canyon a little more tender. Hiking on the winding wooden boardwalk, you can immerse yourself in the tranquility of the mountains and rivers; riding a bamboo raft through the blue stream, you can get up close to the magic of the volcanic geology. There are beautiful scenery in all four seasons. In midsummer, you can listen to the waves to cool off, in late autumn, the valley is dyed with red maples, and in midwinter, the ice waterfall condenses jade. It is a secret place that combines natural wildness with humanistic warmth.
