Centered around the worship of the Medicine Buddha, this enduringly revered temple blesses devotees while offering unparalleled vantage points to admire Jingpohu's grandeur. Between morning bells and evening drums, Zen spirituality mirrors the landscape's serenity, where solemnity meets natural elegance. Strolling through its grounds quiets the mind and dissolves worldly worries.

Yaoshi Ancient Temple is a spiritual cultural edifice. Its seven halls enshrine thirty-one Buddha and Bodhisattva statues, with architecture distinguished by robust grandeur and uniquely styled bell and drum towers housing sacred instruments—the Auspicious Bell and Netherworld Drum. A replica of the ancient Balhae twelve-tiered stone lantern pagoda (originally from 1,300 years ago) in the courtyard attests to the temple's deep historical ties to the Tang-era Balhae Kingdom. Inside and outside the Medicine Buddha Hall, 221 exquisite color paintings, co-created by experts from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, adorn the space, alongside a wealth of Buddhist literature and Jingpohu Lake cultural series.
