





On March 26, the Management Committee of Jingpo Lake Global Geopark held a symposium on the inspection plan for the re-assessment of the geopark. Members of the leading group of the Management Committee and members of the technical cooperation team attended the meeting.

The meeting focused on the actual preparation work for the 2026 re-assessment of Jingpo Lake Global Geopark, and held discussions on the design of inspection routes, formulation of the reception plan, rectification of key issues, and implementation of long-term measures.

Professor Jiangfeng Li from the technical cooperation team, in light of the various inspection requirements for the re-assessment of Global Geoparks by UNESCO, focused on key areas including the conservation of geological heritage, the effectiveness of science popularization, regional sustainable development, and community co-construction. Drawing on on-site investigation results, he put forward a series of targeted recommendations on priority tasks such as optimizing inspection routes, refining reception services, and upgrading popular science signage.
