Based on the unique resource advantages of volcanic barrier lake within the geopark, the museum serves as a comprehensive popular‑science platform integrating geological relic exhibition, science education, interactive experience and cultural publicity. Covering an area of 1687.86 square meters, the museum features multiple themed exhibition sections centering on five core themes: volcanic evolution of Jingpohu, landform formation, ecological resources, historical humanity and geological heritage conservation. Adopting diverse display forms including physical specimens, graphic panels, scene restoration and multimedia demonstrations, it vividly reproduces the complete geological process of ancient volcanic eruptions, lava overflow and barrier‑lake formation. It fully presents the precious scientific value, biodiversity and profound historical and cultural heritage of Jingpohu Global Geopark.

On the opening day, the first‑batch "Little Experience Officers" toured each exhibition area in order. They listened carefully to geological lectures, observed basalt and volcanic rock specimens up close, and participated in fun popular‑science interactions. The youngsters got a direct impression of the grand charm of volcanic geology. Through observing, listening, learning and reflecting, they uncovered the mysteries behind the alpine barrier lake, acquired knowledge on geological heritage protection and fostered strong curiosity for natural science.

The official opening of the museum further improves the science‑popularization infrastructure of Jingpohu Global Geopark and enriches its research‑and‑learning carriers. Going forward, Jingpohu Global Geopark will give full play to the museum as a public‑education venue. It will regularly organize research‑and‑learning activities and science lectures, tell the volcanic‑geological stories of Jingpohu well, and advance the conservation and science communication of geopark relics. More visitors, especially teenagers, will be encouraged to understand and respect nature and appreciate the geological treasures bestowed by nature.
