In spring, Jingpo Lake is an awakening hidden gem, with the focus of visits being to capture the freshness of nature's revival and the raw texture of volcanic landscapes. Between March and May, lakeside willows sprout buds, and Xing'an azaleas bloom in the crevices of volcanic rocks, their pink-white and bright red hues adorning the dark cliffs, creating a unique "flowers against the volcano" scenery. During this time, the lake's ice gradually melts, allowing visitors to stroll along the wooden boardwalks by the shore, listening to the crisp sounds of cracking ice and watching the interplay of melting ice and newly thawed water. Additionally, spring brings less rainfall and higher visibility. Climbing the Guanpu Pavilion beside the Diaoshuilou Waterfall offers a clear view of the volcanic lava plateau below, revealing traces of geological changes over hundreds of millions of years. At dawn, one might also encounter the mist swirling through the mountains, as if stepping into a fairyland.
