On August 6, UNESCO Global Geopark evaluator Goran Radonic arrived at JingpohuLake UNESCO Global Geopark, marking the beginning of the on-site reassessment inspection.

In the morning, the evaluation experts and staff members inspected the Mountain Villa Wastewater Treatment Center, listening to reports on the domestic sewage treatment situation in the park. They then took a boat tour of JingpohuLake and examined geological heritage sites such as Deer Garden Island, White Cliff Rock, Big Lonely Mountain, Small Lonely Mountain, Taoist Mountain, and Pearl Gate.

In the afternoon, the evaluation experts visited the Diaoshuilou Waterfall of JingpohuLake, the Red Luo Girl Cultural Square, and the Bohai Mohe Embroidery. They also inspected the North Gate Promotional Gallery, the Tourist Center, souvenir shops, the under-construction museum, and Waterfall Village (JingpohuHomestay).

Subsequently, a progress report meeting on the World Geopark was held at the JingpohuLake Head of State Building. The meeting was chaired by Yuan Xiaohong, Director of the Geopark Division of the Protection Department at the National Forestry and Grassland Administration. Mayor Gao Yan of Mudanjiang City delivered the opening speech, while evaluation experts Goran Radonic and Alessandra Casini attended the session. During the meeting, JingpohuLake provided a detailed report on the progress made over the past four years in geological heritage protection, geoscience education and outreach, and community development, as well as responses to the rectification suggestions from the previous re-evaluation.

After the report, the evaluation experts visited JingpohuCanyon, where they experienced Korean ethnic culture firsthand, sampled local cuisine, and participated in a bonfire party.
