On April 28, 2023, to ensure the safety of tourists during the May Day holiday, the Social Affairs Administration Bureau, in collaboration with the Tourism Bureau, Boat and Pier Service Center, and Maritime Department, conducted a comprehensive industry inspection of operating ships in Jingpohu Lake waters. The Jingpohu Lake Sightseeing Boat Company was found to have 11 issues across four areas: ship tourism order, pier order, operation management, and water traffic safety. Among these, the failure to install drip trays for daily fuel tanks in the engine room was rectified on-site, while the remaining 10 issues must be addressed within five days with rectification reports submitted.
