To further improve the layout of the Jingpo Lake Museum cluster, deeply explore the historical and cultural value of the Tang Great Wall-Jingpo Lake Frontier Wall, and advance the dynamic inheritance and innovative utilization of precious historical relics, the Committee has recently fully launched the design and exhibition arrangement work of the Tang Great Wall Culture Museum. The museum aims to build a distinctive historical and cultural venue integrating historical display, cultural popularization and research experience.

Situated in the former provincial China Construction Bank sanatorium on the western bank of Jingpo Lake, the museum covers a construction area of 366 square meters. All related work is progressing steadily as scheduled, and the museum is expected to open to the public by the end of July.
As an essential part of Mudanjiang Frontier Wall, a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level, the Tang Great Wall-Jingpo Lake Frontier Wall served as a crucial military defense project of the Bohai Kingdom in the Tang Dynasty. It boasts profound historical heritage, prominent archaeological value and rich cultural connotations. Upon completion and opening, the museum will fully present archaeological findings and historical cultural value of the frontier wall, make up for deficiencies in the display and utilization of local Tang Great Wall relics, revitalize idle scenic area assets, and realize integrated development and coordinated progress of cultural relic protection, cultural inheritance and tourism growth. It will continuously leverage the advantages of Jingpo Lake’s unique cultural resources and fuel high-quality upgrading of cultural and tourism development in the scenic area.
